Spilling the beans on STEM...
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. At the school level, teachers integrate STEM concepts into every subject in an effective and meaningful way throughout the curriculum opposing each subject in isolation. Children learn through a blended approach, exploring and processing ideas and concepts through a variety of settings. Steam Beans has incorporated art, as it serves as a cultural communication tool that makes processing information through familiar channels unintimidating.
Hence the acronym, STEAM!
